Happy everything!
Carina turned 8 this year, and started 3rd grade. Carina is in swim team and continuing to do karate and art. Carina did a Filipino dance performance at the Countryside Elementary's Multicultural Festival.
Vela turned 5 in December and is in her last year of preschool. She's doing gymnastics and art. Vela did a performance of "Let It Go" at Filipino School's talent show.
Lots of travel this year.
In February, we went to New York to explore Manhattan. We saw Wicked and Lion King on Broadway. We went ice skating in Rockefeller Center, toy shopping at FAO Schwartz, and went to museums (MFA and Museum of Natural History). The kids had their first experience at Benihana's.
In March, we went to Loon in New Hampshire. Vela graduated from the bunny slopes and can ski easy greens.
In April, we went to Seattle to visit family. We also went around Seattle and Portland to visit 5 wooden troll sculptures created by Thomas Dambo.
End of June, the kids and Beth did a tour of New England states with Diane. They went to Connecticut and Rhode Island, and Vermont. Ian joined them for the Vermont leg of the trip where we saw the Brookes.
We had a great summer in Maine. The kids did witch camp again and added farm camp this time around. We also hung out with the Bravos, the Quails, and the Brookes.
At the end of July, we went to Denmark to visit the Votemans. It was the reunion of two best buds, Vela and Siv. We saw a lot of Denmark thanks to the Votemans, such as Hans Christian Andersen's hometown Odense, beach town Brovst, Legoland in Billund, and Copenhagen. We also saw lots of Thomas Dambo's trolls.
In August, we went back to New York for Grandma's birthday and to see their cousin, Arielle, who was only a couple of months old at the time.
In November, we went back to DisneyWorld. We went to Disney's Holiday Parade and spent time at Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
